Professional Stone Pads & Site Preparation

The perfect foundation for your new shed, gazebo, or playscape.

Why Choose a Crushed Stone Pad?

  • Crushed stone provides superior drainage by allowing rainwater to drain through the pad and away from the base of your structure, which keeps the wood dry and prevents rot.

  • A properly compacted pad ensures even weight distribution, preventing your new building from settling unevenly over time.

  • It gives your yard a much cleaner appearance with a neat, professional border that keeps mud and dirt from splashing up onto the walls during heavy rain.

Investing in a new outdoor structure? The most important step happens before the building is even delivered. A high-quality, perfectly level stone pad is essential to protect your investment. Sitting a structure directly on the ground or on an uneven surface can lead to poor drainage, wood rot, shifting foundations, and doors that won't open properly.

At Kloter Light Excavation, we specialize in building rock-solid, precisely leveled stone foundations that meet the exact specifications required by premium shed and gazebo builders.

Our Site Prep Process

We handle the entire project from start to finish, ensuring your site is 100% ready for delivery day.

  1. We start the excavation and grading process by using our equipment to dig out the topsoil and organically soft ground, creating a perfectly level sub-grade, even on sloped yards.

  2. We handle the stone delivery and installation, where we supply and haul in the crushed stone, spreading it evenly across the pad.

  3. Finally, we focus on tamping and final leveling, compacting the stone and using lasers or levels to ensure the pad is perfectly flat and ready for your structure.

Structures We Prep For:

  • Storage Sheds & Barns

  • Gazebos & Pavilions

  • Playscapes & Swing Sets

  • Garages & Animal Shelters

“John has prepared a number of sites for us over the last couple of years and he is consistently excellent. He communicates well by letting me know when to expect him, shows up on time, discusses what he is going to do and how with me before he starts, and discusses cost to get approval before starting work, especially if anything is out of scope of the original assessment.

His work is outstanding and he takes the time to do the job properly. He does the little things, like digging for irrigation lines before using the heavy equipment, doing what can be done to prevent erosion, putting the excess fill in an appropriate place. These things make a big difference to how much work, if any, I have to do to either clean up or re-route irrigation lines.

I highly recommend John for site prep. I'll pay for that to be added to the Kloter Farms service every time and will call him if I need a separate site prepared.”
